Company History
Roundarch's origins go back to June 2000, when Deloitte Consulting and WPP Group came together to create a new kind of professional services company. The idea was to combine WPP’s creative and marketing capabilities with Deloitte’s systems integration capabilities.
The result was a company dedicated to building Web sites and applications that are designed from a user-centric perspective and are uniquely elegant in their use of technology.
Today, Roundarch is an independent entity, privately owned and operated by its senior management. We continue to focus on the Web medium through a strong combination of user-centered design and technology.
A History of Client Success
In the past five years, we have worked for more than 75 of the world's largest public and private organizations, completing more than 200 projects in all. Many of our clients have won awards and received other recognition for the work we’ve done for them.
The US Air Force portal won the 2005 MIT/Accenture Digital Government
Award, for instance, and Hershey's was recently ranked #1 by the Customer
Respect Group. But to us, our best measure of success is the results we
achieve for our clients.
Continued Innovation in the Web Channel
The Web channel is constantly evolving, bringing ever more opportunities to the marketplace. As a result, it stands at the center of many of our clients’ organizational strategies today:
• Many organizations are using their portals as access points for hundreds
of applications, as well as both structured and unstructured data. These
portals will increasingly serve as process portals, giving users access
to all the key systems and data required to do their jobs.
• Consumer Product Companies are making increased use of the Web as a
primary advertising medium and a significant source of brand impressions.
• With the emergence of Service-Oriented Architecture principles, Web
technologies are becoming the de facto standard for application development
in organizations.
• In addition, the advance of Rich Internet Experience addresses the biggest
drawback of today's Web: the page-based paradigm. Adding rich interfaces
in industries such as retail, financial services and travel could
significantly improve traffic and conversion rates.
As we have from day one, Roundarch will continue to help clients anticipate
and embrace Web innovations—and to be successful with their large-scale
Web initiatives.
