User Experience – Information Architecture & Design
As the name implies, Information Architecture is about the organization and structure of a Web site. Much like physical structures, Web sites require blueprints to ensure that they will meet the needs of intended users and serve the goals of the organization they represent. Information Architects design the scope, organization, labeling and navigation of an interactive experience, simplifying often complex information spaces to optimize usability and findability-creating an intuitive experience for the end user.
At Roundarch, our Information Architects are very much a part of the entire design process. They work closely with clients and users to understand business goals and user needs and limitations. Internally, they collaborate with visual designers, functional designers and technologists to ensure that a site's structural design perfectly matches user experience goals.
Our key information architecture services include:
- Developing user scenarios and detailed task flows
- Designing navigational taxonomies also known as site maps
- Designing wireframes or page "schematics" accompanied by functional and design annotation
